Summary:
At Black Bear Diners, we have been serving Good Old Fashioned Family Food since 1995.
We are a fun, family-friendly concept known for our great homemade food, large portions and genuine, friendly service.
The overall responsibility for servers is to provide friendly, prompt, individualized service that creates a dining experience so positive that all guests will want to return.
Host/Cashier/Busser
Responsibilities:
Greet all arriving guests warmly and promptly.
Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
Maintain clean entrance, lobby, dining room, and restrooms.
Relay messages to servers as needed.
Assist servers in maintaining and stocking service stations.
Transport bus tubs with dirty dishes to dish room if dish machine if needed.
Clean and reset tables promptly.
Clean chairs, booths, and surrounding carpet.
Process payments correctly and efficiently.
Close checks.
Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as assigned.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
