Summary:

Responsible for daily management and supervision of all employees, maintaining quality control of all company operations, and managing customer service levels.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities include the following:

Ensure employee compliance to established company policies and procedures
Directly oversees supervisors of Ready Mix Truck Drivers, Batch Plant Operators and Utility Personnel
Hire new employees
Implement disciplinary action processes when needed
Manage, and ensure compliance with, the company quality control systems
Develop and implement customer service policies and procedures
Develop, provide and document customer service training to employees
Personally respond to, record and resolve customer complaints
Purchasing for general company operations
Cross-over and downtime scheduling
Ensure compliance with all industry specific safety regulations
Safety compliance reporting monthly
Prepare and maintain daily production plan to the production supervisor a day in advance.
Responsible to organize all the raw material and logistics to keep the optimum inventory level to meet the planned targets
Responsible to submit the report of optimum manpower requirement per shift basis
Responsible to do the appraisal for his subordinates and submit the same
All other duties as assigned

Job Scope:

This job has recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm. Duties involve a high degree of complexity due to the nature of managing company employees and ensuring compliance with established company policies and procedures. Duties are performed under direct supervision of the General Manager with established procedures and guidelines. Errors in accuracy, judgment, and the levels of quality and customer service effect the smooth and efficient operation of the companies, ultimately impacting customer service, customer retention, employee retention and staff trust levels.

Supervisory
Responsibilities:

Directly supervises Ready Mix Truck Drivers, Batch Plant Operators, and Utility Personnel

Interpersonal Contacts:

Contacts are made both inside and outside the company. Internal contacts include the partners and all employees of both companies. External contacts include, but are not limited to, vendors, sub-contractors, customers, competitors, consultants, and industry regulatory agencies.

Specific Skills:

Business operations experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem - solver to maintain/increase productivity levels to agreed targets
Prior Management experience
Proven Decision making and judgment skills
Intermediate Computer Skills, including Networking
Strong results oriented day today management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Education and/or
Experience:

Bachelors degree, or the equivalent, in Business Management
Industry specific Quality Control Certification
5 or more years of industry specific experience
Experience in all functions and operations of the companies
Ready mix/concrete classes required, including mix design and analysis
Experience in employee management
Forklift certification
Industry specific safety certifications

Job Conditions:

Industry normal for Ready Mix Plant
Requires hours that exceed 40 hours per week, including evening meetings and on-call status
Extensive computer work


Physical Demands:

Ability to sit for long periods of time
Frequent standing and walking

ForkliftEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
