Extrusion Operator
Position is responsible for operating equipment located in the Expansion work centers for executing the expansion process for heat shrinkable tubing. Position follows procedures in compliance to TE Medical Quality systems.
Job Duties:
Perform setup, run execution, and shutdown procedures in compliance to expansion process instructions and manufacturing systems requirements.
Verify processes are within the compliance of the CI procedural parameters and accepted manufacturing tolerances and specifications.
Perform in-process quality testing using micrometers, pin gauges, rulers, ovens, and microscopes.
Compliance with EHS policies in use of PPE for work hot media and equipment.
Requires lifting of equipment up to 25 lbs, moving reels, centers, and coil pans.
Performs in process inspection for cosmetic defects and tubing dimensional specifications per procedure.
Accurately completes Device History Records in accordance with Quality procedures.
Executes expansion line clearance procedures in accordance with Shop Floor Controls.
Maintains a clean work space environment in accordance to 5S+1 standards.
Complies with escalation procedure and PIM processes to effectively communicate with technical staff and operation team.
Enters data to close work orders and move material to finished goods locations in SAP ERP system.
Requirements:
High School or equivalent
2
years of experience in manufacturing and related field
Computer experience
Must be able to follow direction & work independently.
Attention to detail is a critical requirement.
Basic math & communications skills.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Personal Protective Equipment is required in all areas to include hearing protection and safety glasses. Safety shoes are required when running the processing equipment.
