Document Control Specialist
Purpose of Position :
Provides technical and administrative support in the areas of engineering and quality system documentation to internal customers, including creating and updating documents and processing Engineering Change Orders.
Essential Functions :
Processing Engineering Change Orders in a PLM system supporting product, process, and system changes.
Management of electronic and hardcopy files and records.
Create or revise documentation in support of system, product or process changes.
Provide training for TE employees using the PLM software (QP3 - Electronic Document and Product Lifecycle Management System) globally as applicable.
Proficient application of MS Office, Visio, Adobe or other company standard software in the creating of printed documents, electronically distributed documents, visual presentations, self-directed presentations and a basic understanding of databases.
Experienced at creating and modifying illustrations, flow charts or enhancing digital photos to effectively communicate the steps of a process in conjunction with written words. Must be sensitive to an audience with English as a second language in addition to a technical and business oriented audience.
Capable of leading projects of moderate to high complexity with minimal supervision. Requires interfacing with a wide variety of individuals throughout the company.
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and report on system performance data.
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Education :
3 year minimum experience working in Document management in a PLM system, ideally a Matrix base platform or equivalent.
Working knowledge of manufacturing environments and ERP systems and Medical Quality Systems ISO 13485 and 21CFR Part 820.
Advanced computer skills.
Bachelor's degree (science preferred) or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, organization skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent understanding of Document and Record Control including Good Documentation Practices.
Background in Technical Writing.
Knowledgeable in the areas of Design Control, Configuration Management and Corrective and Preventative Action.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
